Didn't work

I bought one for my daughter's playroom thinking it would smell nice and also add a small light etc. Well the light never worked from the start no matter what I tried. I tried several outlets throughout the house just to be sure but right out of the box it didn't work. As for the smell it's just "ohhkay". . I got the vanilla and it seems very synthetic and not very strong even on the highest setting. The room is very large and before I tried this I had a Yankee Candle plug in that was so much nicer.
